December 14th, 2009 · No Comments

Use these tips to create content for your blog. It’s not always easy to write relevant content for your blog. Here are a few tips on how to find content for your blog.

Write your own content

This is the most time consuming of all of the ways to get content for your blog. However, it does bring the most rewards. It’s not as difficult if you know your topic well. The advantage of writing yourself is that you know the quality of the content and you are also assured that your content will be unique.

Hire someone else to write

If you struggle to find the time to write your own content then hire someone. Some sites employ full time writers who are on a set salary and others pay per particle. Sites such as techsites or article directories don’t pay anything. In all instances the ownership of the article needs to be determined right at the beginning.

Use an article writing service

Most article writing services provide articles that have been rewritten using software. This usually means that the content is of a not particularly high quality and will require some rewriting. These articles may serve their purpose to augment the bloggers own writing efforts.

I’ve been using Need An Article for years and find their articles to be high quality. Besides an excellent price, you will have an original article that you can submit to article directories as well as original content to place on your blog.

Ask readers to write

Many good bloggers invite other writers to submit articles. This is usually at no fee. The benefit to the writer is that they receive recognition and a link back to their site. It is a way to get excellent exposure and may be viewed as brand building.

It is of course not as easy to get readers to write for you when your blog is not well known. The reader needs to feel that they receive some benefit for their efforts.

Trade articles

As you develop your blog you will find other bloggers who are writing about similar topics to yourself. Building relationships with these bloggers will be beneficial. One of the benefits would be to trade articles. It’s best to use older articles. For the readers the older articles will nevertheless be fresh content. Do give credit to the author. Don’t pass them off as yours.

Republish some of your old articles

This is worth considering if you start a second blog. You might want to re-use some of the articles you have written on your main blog, that is if the topic is suitable. Republishing of older articles is an easy way to create new content. You might want to do a bit of rewriting just to give them a fresh feel.

Private label articles

PLR articles give users a quick way of getting content onto a new blog. It’s really quick and very cheap. Private label articles are a special type of right to content which you purchase at mostly extremely low prices. You may then use them as you wish. You are even able to brand them with your own name.

The main problem is quality. As with everything in life, you pay for what you get. You pay little, you get rubbish. You could end up spending as much time on cleaning up the article and making it usable than if you wrote it yourself.
